How you can help stop Climate Change.

By purchasing offsets you help support projects like wind and solar power, reforestation and methane capture. We offer only certified and third-party-verified offsets from the Chicago Climate Exchange.

First step

Use our calculator to determine your personal carbon footprint measured in metric tons.

Second step

Use a credit card to purchase the offsets needed to neutralize your residual carbon footprint. Purchasing offsets for friends and family also makes a great gift.

Last Step

Lower your carbon footprint by taking the following actions:

Thermostat

Did you know that if you moved your heater thermostat down two degrees in winter and up two degrees in the summer you could save 2000 lbs of carbon dioxide per year?

Compact Fluorescent Bulbs

By changing just 3 frequently used light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs, you can save 300 lbs. of carbon dioxide a year.

Car Tires

You can save 250 lbs. of carbon dioxide per year by checking your tire pressure monthly and keeping them adequately inflated.

Car Air Filter

By checking your car's air filter monthly, you can save 800 lbs. of carbon dioxide per year.

Dishwasher

If you run your dishwasher only with a full load you'll save 100 lbs. of carbon dioxide per year.

Water heater

Set your water heater thermostat no higher than 120°F and save 550 lbs. of carbon dioxide per year.

AC Filter

By cleaning or replacing dirty air conditioner filters as recommended you can save 350 lbs. of carbon dioxide per year.

Car Idling

If you are not in traffic, turn off your car if you are standing still for more than 30 seconds.

Waste/Recycling

Purchase products with less packaging and use filtered water instead of plastic bottles. Recycle paper, plastic, aluminum and glass. Compost all organic matter.

Shorter Showers

Showers use up 2/3 of all hot water. Set a timer and turn water off when you lather up.

When you finish calculating your carbon footprint and purchase offsets you have the option to save or print out a certificate that classifies you (or a friend) as a Champion of the Environment.
